This writ petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following directions: "(a) Direct the Respondent no. 1 to install Package Sub Station in the vicinity of the Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar Phase-II in order to provide electricity connections to allotee(s) of the land. (b) Direct the respondent no. 1 & 2 to co-ordinate in order to enable the respondent no. 1 to install Power Sub-station. (c) Direct the respondent no. 1 to provide electricity connection to allotee(s) of land."

On the last date of hearing, Court had recorded the stand of MCD taken in its status report that the Competent Authority, i.e. Commissioner, MCD had approved allocation of budget amounting to Rs.8,52,46,809/- on 08.01.2025 on priority basis to be paid to TPDDL for the purpose of carrying out electrification in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar Phase-II. Learned counsels for MCD and TPDDL had further submitted that a joint inspection will be carried out in the area where there was a proposal for allotment of plots for erecting sub-stations. 3.
Court is informed today jointly by counsels for MCD and the TPDDL that pursuant to the last order, joint inspection was carried out on 13.01.2025 and a sum of Rs.8,52,46,809/- has been transferred to TPDDL as also that possession of four sites identified for erection of sub-stations etc. has been handed over. In support of this, counsel for MCD hands over documents, which are taken on record.

It is submitted by counsel for TPDDL that a communication has been sent on 23.01.2025 to MCD seeking GST undertaking and GST and PAN details, which MCD has assured to provide within 15 days and on receipt of the said details, the entire work of laying down the network as well as electrification will be carried out expeditiously and not later than outer limit of 12 months in consonance with Regulation 11(4)(iii)(e)(ii) of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Supply Code and Performance Standards) Regulations, 2017.

In light of the aforesaid stands of MCD and TPDDL, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court at this stage, save and except, directing MCD to furnish requisite details to TPDDL as sought vide communication dated 23.01.2025 and on receipt of the information, TPDDL The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
will commence the work of laying down the network and electrification and conclude the same as assured, within an outer limit of 12 months from the date of receipt of the details.

Needless to state, in case of any further grievance, it will be open to the Petitioner to take recourse to legal remedies. 7.
