The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be released on parole for a period of three months. The petitioner's application for parole has been rejected by the competent Authority by referring to Rule 1211 of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018. The petitioner has been convicted under Sections 302/396/34/120B of the IPC by an order dated 15.10.2015.

The petitioner has been sentenced to serve life imprisonment.

The petitioner states that both his children are of marriageable age and he needs to find suitable matches for them. It is seen that the petitioner has served actual custody of six years, two months and three days, as on 23.09.2019.

In addition, the petitioner has also earned remission of one

year, five months and one day.

It is seen that the petitioner has been released on four separate occasions. In addition, he has also been released on furlough earlier this year by the Competent Authority. 3.

The petitioner's conduct in jail has been satisfactory and there is no allegation that he misused the liberty granted to him on earlier occasions. 4.

In view of the above, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks, subject to the petitioner furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹20,000/- with two sureties in the sum of ₹10,000/- each to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent.

The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The petitioner shall report to the SHO, PS Ambedkar Nagar on every Monday of the calendar week at 10:30 am. The petitioner shall provide his mobile number and ensure that he is reachable on it at all times. 6.
