% 22.02.2018 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Neelu is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Jagpal Singh of police station Sonia Vihar.

Respondent no.2 says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 24th February, 2015 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 22nd January, 2016 passed by the Family Court, North East

District, Shahdara, Delhi.

Petitioner no.1 has paid `80,000/- to the respondent no.2 vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record and she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 6. Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 184/2012 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at police station Sonia Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
