% 27.04.2018 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to file a Special Leave Petition and to maintain social ties. Petitioner was convicted for offence punishable under Section 376(2) /506 IPC and awarded sentence of imprisonment for a period of 10 years. The petitioner is in continuous judicial custody since 2nd August, 2011 and the unexpired portion of his sentence is around two years and two months. On a notice being issued, a Status Report has been filed. As per the Status Report, the petitioner's family comprising of his parents, his elder brother's family, petitioner's wife and two children are residing at C-562, Meer Vihar, Madanpur Dabas, Delhi. Father of the petitioner is blind and the elder brother of the petitioner is running the house. W.P.(CRL) 461/2018

Considering that the petitioner has roots in the society, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is, therefore, directed that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹15,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of Superintendent, Mandoli Jail. Petition is disposed of.

A copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Mandoli Jail.
