% 03.05.2024 CONT.CAS(C) 1177/2022 1.
On 10.04.2024 this Court had held that Respondent has wilfully violated the Orders of this Court and the matter has been fixed for today for the purpose of imposing punishment.

The Contemnor has filed an affidavit on 02.05.2024 tendering an unconditional apology. It is stated that the Contemnor is a cancer patient suffering from Malignancy of the Submandibular Gland and is on continuous Chemotherapy since July 2023 and therefore he be not sentenced to imprisonment.

In view of the apology tendered by the Respondent No.2, this Court is inclined to sentence the Contemnor by imposing a fine of Rs.2000/- on the Contemnor.

Accordingly, the contempt petition is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.
