This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.

The present petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking release of two silver coated gold bracelets, weighing 50 grams each, which were detained (hereinafter "detained goods") by the Customs Department vide detention receipt dated 6th April, 2024.

The case of the Petitioner is that on 6th April, 2024 upon her arrival at the IGI Airport, New Delhi from Bahrain, she was intercepted by the Customs Department and the detained goods were seized. It is stated that the detained goods are the personal jewellery of the Petitioner. Further, it is argued that no Show Cause Notice (hereinafter "SCN") has been issued till date. 4.

However, the case of the Customs Department is that though the SCN has not been issued there has been deliberate concealment on part of the Petitioner. SSC that a personal hearing notice has been issued to the Petitioner. 5.

Considering the facts of this case, the Court is not inclined to release the detained goods.

Let the Petitioner appear before the Customs Department and make her submissions during the personal hearing. After hearing the Petitioner, the order shall be passed by the Adjudicating Authority in accordance with law. 7.

All rights and remedies are left open.

The petition is disposed of in above terms. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
