Right of the petitioner to cross-examine the complainant / Respondent No. 2 was closed by the order dated 07.05.2025 (hereafter 'impugned order') passed by the learned Trial Court. 2.

Perusal of the record reveals that the delay in the adjudication of the complaint case is attributed to the petitioner. The impugned order clearly mentions that despite repeated opportunities, the petitioner failed to cross-examine the complainant.

There is no infirmity in the impugned order dated 07.05.2025, however, considering that the petitioner was permitted to cross-examine the complainant on 07.05.2025 and since then not much time has elapsed, purely in the interest of justice, this Court considers it apposite to grant one last The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. opportunity to the petitioner to cross-examine the complainant upon the petitioner adequately compensating her. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no adjournment will be sought on the day scheduled for the said purpose.

List on 18.08.2025 before the learned Trial Court, for cross-examination of the complainant, subject to payment of ₹30,000/- to Respondent No. 2 by the petitioner. 6.

It is made clear that the petitioner shall cross-examine Respondent No. 2 on the same day.

The learned Trial Court is requested to not grant unwarranted adjournments to any party.
