The Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter referred to as "Cr.P.C., 1973") has been filed on behalf of the petitioners, seeking to quash the FIR No. 978/2020 dated 14.08.2020, registered under Sections 354/376 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereinafter referred to as "IPC, 1860") and Section 6/10 of POCSO Act, 2012 registered at Police Station Sultan Puri. Mr. Satinder Singh Bawa, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on advance notice, accepts notice on behalf of the State. 6.

Brief facts of the case are that the marriage was solemnized between petitioner No. 1 and respondent No. 2 on 07.11.2019, according to Hindu rites and ceremonies. The respondent No.2's father i.e. petitioner No.3 is an alcoholic and her mother earns her wages by working in people's home. 7.

It is further submitted that on 03.08.2019 a fight took place at the matrimonial home of respondent no.2 and the petitioner No.3 dropped her at her parent's home. On the complaint of respondent No. 2, an FIR bearing No. 987/2020 dated 14.08.2020 was registered under Sections 354/376 IPC along with Section 6/10 POCSO Act at Police Station Sultan Puri. 8.

It is submitted that the petitioners and respondent No. 2 have already sorted out their all differences vide Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 22.03.2024 and they have left no grudge or grievance against each other in any manner whatsoever. Therefore, the Petition be quashed. 9.

The complainant is present in the Court and submits that the matter stands settled with the petitioners and that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed against the petitioners on account of the settlement already arrived at between the parties.

In view of the submissions made, the Petition is allowed.

Accordingly, the FIR bearing No. 987/2020 registered at Police Station Sultan Puri, for offences punishable under Sections 354/376 IPC along with Section 6/10 POCSO Act with all the subsequent proceedings and the charge sheet is hereby quashed qua all the petitioners.
