The present petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking that the amounts worked out by the Official Liquidator (appointed by the High Court of Karnataka to take charge of Kingfisher Airlines' remaining assets and liabilities) be released to the petitioners. It is submitted that the said amounts are due to the petitioners by virtue of their employment with the erstwhile Kingfisher Airlines for varying periods.

From a perusal of the petition itself, it is evident that the relevant exercise for working out the amounts payable to the petitioners has been done by the Official Liquidator appointed by the High Court of Karnataka at Bangalore.

In the circumstances, it would be appropriate for the petitioners to approach the said Official Liquidator and/or the concerned supervising Courts for appropriate directions, inter-alia, as regards release of the requisite amounts to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the present petition stands dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to take appropriate legal steps in this regard.
