The present petition has been filed by the petitioner raising a grievance that the respondent no. 1 / Press Council of India (hereinafter referred to as "the PCI") has failed to pass requisite orders/dispose of the complaint dated 27.05.2025 preferred by the petitioner. The said complaint pertains to an alleged defamatory publication and malicious journalism on the part of the respondent no. 2 publication / Crime Hilore, which is owned and operated by the respondent no. 3.

It is submitted that the conduct of the said respondents is actionable under Press Council Act, 1978 (hereinafter referred to as "the PC Act") and for which purpose, the jurisdiction of the PCI under Section 13 and 14 of the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. PC Act has been invoked by the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 1 / PCI submits that the said respondent is currently seized of the petitioner's abovementioned complaint, and consideration of the same is under process, in accordance with the applicable guidelines and procedures. 6.
It is submitted that the said complaint shall be duly considered and decided by the respondent no. 1, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the concerned parties, as expeditiously as possible. Let an endeavour be made to complete the said exercise within a period of 4 months from today. 7.
