This is a petition filed under section 29 A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year from 01.09.2024. 2.
It is stated that the delay has occurred on account of Covid-19 pandemic.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Kumar, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.
I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been given. 6.
The mandate of the arbitral tribunal is extended by a period of one year with effect from 01.09.2024 to make and publish the arbitral award. 7.
The petition is disposed of.
