1. By way of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner, who is serving in the CISF, seeks the following reliefs:

"(a) Direct the Respondent to upgrade the rank of the Petitioner from ASI (1400-2300 revised Rs. 4000-6000) to Sub-Inspector (1400-2300 revised Rs. 5000-8000 w.e.f. 01.01.1996} & (5500-9000 w.e.f 10.10.1997) w.e.f.

02.10.1992 and arrears and allowances arisen from the said upgradation for the period from 02.10.1992 to 31.12.2003 (date of relieving from CRPF on resignation). (b) Pass any other order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, in the interest of justice."

advance notice, submits that vide order dated 12.07.2024, the petitioner's pay has been suitably upgraded to that of the post of Sub Inspector. A copy of the said order is handed over in Court and is taken on record.

In the light of the aforesaid, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present petition, which accordingly, stands disposed of by directing the respondents to pay to the petitioner, arrears in terms of the aforesaid order dated 12.07.2024 within a period of eight weeks.
