The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:
"A. Issue a writ of and/or order and or directions in the nature of certiorari, prohibition, mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction quashing impugned the impugned notice dated 11.06.2024 issued by Respondent No. 1 under section 144B of the Act, notice dated 24.06.2024 issued under section 142(1) of the Act, and all proceedings/ actions consequent thereto for AY 2015-16.
AND B. Issue writ and/or order and/or direction in the nature of mandamus/certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction quashing the continuation of illegal proceedings for assessment year 2015-16;

C. Issue a writ of and/or order and/or direction in the nature of prohibition commanding Respondents to forebear from giving effect to and/or taking any step whatsoever pursuant to and/or in furtherance of the impugned notices dated 11.06.2024 and notice dated 24.06.2024 for AY 2015-16; AND D. Award cost of litigation."

The learned counsel appearing for the Revenue submits that the present petition has become infructuous, as the proceedings sought to be impugned in the present petition have been dropped. 3.
