By way of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions for removal/modification of conditions imposed vide order dated 05.07.2024 passed by the office of DS-Legal, PHQ Delhi Prisons while granting furlough.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is unable to avail the benefit of furlough granted to him as he is unable to furnish two sureties owing to the ongoing family disputes with the relatives. It is stated that even earlier a Division Bench of this Court while granting interim bail vide order dated 22.06.2020 in CRL. A. 09/2015 had directed his release on furnishing a personal bond alongwith certain other conditions. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, the order dated 05.07.2024 is modified to the extent that the petitioner be released on furlough for a period of two weeks from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent/Duty M.M./concerned Court. The other terms and conditions of the order dated 05.07.2024 shall remain applicable. 4.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms alongwith the pending application.
