The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying for grant of bail in connection with FIR No. 101/2018 under Sections 307/326/341/324/34 of the IPC and Section 27 of the Arms Act, 1959. 4.

The allegation against the petitioner is that he, along with one of the co-accused, had held the victim while the other co-accused had stabbed the victim twice with a knife. It was contended by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner before this Court that the victim was hale and hearty and was regularly appearing in the Trial Court and to verify this fact, this Court had directed the learned APP to file photographs of the victim in question.

The same has been filed along with the status report which indicates the nature of the injuries suffered by the victim. It is apparent from the photographs that the victim's abdomen had been slit right below the left side of abdomen. The nature of the injury is serious. Given the fact that the trial is at a nascent stage; the charges are yet to be framed; and material witnesses are yet to be examined, this Court does not consider it apposite to allow the present petition at this stage.

In view of the above, the petition is dismissed. 7.
