The present petition under Section 2(b) and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers:

"I. Initiate Contempt proceedings against the Contemnors and Punish them for wilful disobedience of the Order dated 26.05.2025 passed by the Hon'ble High Court in W.P.(C) No.6975/2025. II. Pass an order directing the Contemnors to comply in letter and spirit the directions contained in the order dated 26.05.2025 passed in W.P.(C) 6975 of 2025, whereby Hon'ble Court has directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Delhi Police to permit the street vendor to vend in terms of the Vending Certificate and despite that petitioner has been evicted, which shows wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble court. III. Pass an order imposing exemplary costs on the contemnors for having willfully and deliberately not complying with the directions of this Hon'ble Court.

IV. Pass an Order directing the contemnor no. 3 to release the goods of the petitioner seized on 02.06.2025 by the contemnor no. 4 in total contravention of the Street Vendors Act, 2014 & Street The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

V. Pass any such directions or order that this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the abovementioned case." 3.

Status report dated 09.10.2025 has been handed up in Court today and is taken on record, wherein it is recorded as under: "

That, in above cited CONT. CAS(C) No. 979/2025, the petitioner namely Nitto seeking release of goods, seized by the police. The Police had seized the empty cart since the petitioner was violating the conditions of Certificate of Vending ('CoV') which allowed her to sell vegetables, fruits and other perishable food items.

That the Hon'ble Delhi High Court has ordered for release of the cart and other goods if seized. On the compliance of the order of the Hon'ble Delhi High court the said seized cart was released to the Owner and handed over the possession of the cart. That, as per the order of the Hon'ble Court the Owner of the cart was directed to sell the articles as per the Certificate of vending on the condition that she shall not violate the conditions of CoV, including the condition of not restricting the access to 'the footpath', which has been stated as the 'Place of Vending' by the petitioner i.e. On the Footpath, MB Road, near Saket Metro Station, Gate No.-2, South Zone, Ward-S-71, New Delhi. " 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the cart has still not been released to the latter and the same is refuted by the learned counsel for the respondents, submitting that as per the aforementioned status report, the cart has been released to the petitioner and the photograph demonstrating the same has been annexed with the said status report. 5.

The present petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner will be permitted to vend subject to the compliance of conditions / terms of the vending certificate.
