The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "It is therefore most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus or any other writ, order or direction directing respondent No.1 (MCD) to take appropriate action against respondent No.2 in accordance with law for demolition/closure of illegal basement in building at Plot No. C-93, Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-110017.

This Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to pass such other and further order(s) which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of instant case."

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-Corporation submits that the entire building has been booked and in view of the pendency of the writ petition being W.P. (C) 4544/2023, further action was withheld.

Since the Court has disposed of the W.P. (C) 4544/2023, the Corporation, therefore, is at liberty to take necessary action, in accordance with law.

Let the same be complied with due expedition. All rights and liberties are reserved in favour of the private respondent. 5.

If the petitioner, thereafter, has any persisting grievance, the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the Special Task Force, constituted in terms of the directions passed by the Supreme Court vide order dated 24.04.2018 in W.P. (C) 4677/1985 titled as M.C. Mehta v. Union of India. 5.

With the aforesaid observations, the petition stands disposed of alongwith pending application.
