This is an application filed by the applicant - petitioner for early hearing of the captioned petition, which is next scheduled to be listed on 18.09.2026.

Mr. Aditya Aggarwal, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the only relief sought in the petition is for expeditious disposal of the proceedings pending before the learned Special Court [SC No. 25/2025: State v. Akash Bisht and Anr.].

For the reasons stated therein, and with the consent of Mr. Tarang Srivastava, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the application is allowed, and the petition is taken on Board.

The application stands disposed of.

Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is as follows: "a.

To allow the present petition and may direct the Ld. Trial Court to expedite the proceedings in a case titled as 'State versus Akash Bisht & Ors.' (SC No. 25/2025) pending before Ld. Additonal sessions judge, Special Judge NDPS, Rohini Courts in respect of FIR no. 229 of 2024 registered at Crime Branch on 16.11.2024 and may dispose off the same in stipulated time period.

b.

Any other relief which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit be given to the applicant under the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice."

Mr. Aggarwal submits that the petitioner is a foreign national, and is one of the three accused in the subject proceedings, alongwith her husband and mother-in-law. He submits that the petitioner may be permitted to approach the learned Special Court for expedition of the proceedings.

Mr. Srivastava has no objection to this request, and assures the Court that the prosecution will abide by any direction that the learned Special Court may pass.

Having regard to the aforesaid submissions, the petition, alongwith pending application, is disposed of, with the direction that the petitioner may apply to the learned Special Court for expedition of proceedings. The learned Special Court is requested to consider the said prayer, in accordance with its own Board and the age of matters pending before it. 9.

Needless to say, this Court has not addressed the merits of the matter in any way.

The date of hearing already fixed, i.e. 18.09.2026, stands cancelled.
