O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondent no.1-Municipal Corporation of Delhi ("MCD"), for taking appropriate action against the illegal construction at Knewton International School at Varun Farm, Rajpur Khurd, New Delhi, wherein, a school is being run.

It is submitted that petitioner is a resident of Rajpur Khurd, residing at House No. 208, i.e., the same locality where the property in question is situated.

It is submitted that the illegal and unauthorized construction in the shape of Knewton International School is situated adjacent to Neev School, and the said Knewton International School has been operating as a commercial educational institution, despite being constructed without sanctioned plans, in contravention of building regulations. 4.

On a pointed query by this Court, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the said school is currently in operation. He further submits that the said school has been running since the year 2019-20, after the unauthorized construction in the said property was booked in the year 2019.

This Court notes that the petitioner has been aware of the unauthorized construction in the property in question since 2019-20. However, the present writ petition has come to be filed belatedly. 6.

At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1-MCD submits that they shall inspect the property in question and the requisite action shall be taken, in accordance with law. 7.

Accordingly, the MCD and other authorities are held bound to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition, along with the pending application, is accordingly, disposed of.
