The applicant seeks bail in FIR No.0699/2024 under Section 65(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 (corresponding Section 376AB IPC) and Section 6 of Protection of Children from sexual Offence Act, 2012, registered at P.S. Seemapuri.

The victim in question, who was forcibly sexually assaulted, was 9 years old at the relevant time.

Fact, however, remains that the case has already progressed substantially, as it is now at the stage of defence evidence.

In view of the above, this Court does not find any real requirement of dealing with the bail application and the application is disposed of with request to the learned Trial Court to dispose of the abovesaid case as expeditiously as possible. 5.

However, if the case is not decided within three months from today, the petitioner would be at liberty to file application afresh. 6.
