By way of present petition, the petitioners seek following prayer: "issue a Writ of Mandamus or Writ of any other nature, orders, directions to the Respondents thereby directing the Respondents Nos. 1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the Petitioners Nos. 1 and 2, from the Respondents Nos. 3 to 5 and others, in the interest of justice, peace and harmony between the parties."

The petitioners claim to be major and further claim that they have solemnized their marriage as per Hindu rites and ceremonies on 05.01.2024. The marriage is also stated to have been registered with the Office of Marriage Officer, District Dwarka, New Delhi on 15.02.2024. 3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioner no. 1 apprehends interference and harassment at the hands of her family. 4.

of the Court, the police official of P.S. Palam Village, Delhi had visited the house of respondent Nos. 2 to 5, however, no one was found to be residing there. A statement of the neighbor to this effect has been recorded, who has stated that respondents were residing as tenants and thereafter have shifted to somewhere in Punjab and are not presently traceable. 5.
The status report and verification report have been handed over and taken on record. As per the report, the mobile numbers of the Beat officer and SHO have already been provided to the petitioners and the factum of marriage also stands verified. Status report further records that though it was alleged that initially some anonymous calls had been received, however, thereafter, no further calls have been received by the petitioners. 6.
Considering that the petitioners are major and have solemnized the marriage, the factum of which stands verified and further that mobile numbers of the Beat officer as well as SHO have been provided, present petition is disposed of with the direction that respondent nos. 2 to 5 shall not interfere in the matrimony and peaceful existence of the petitioners. 7.
It is further directed that in case the petitioners apprehend any threat in future, they shall be at liberty to approach the concerned SHO, who shall ensure that all such necessary protection is provided to ensure the petitioners' safety.
