The Petitioner have approached this Court with the following prayers: "It is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue appropriate Writ(s)/Orders(s)/Direction(s) thereby directing the respondent No.2 to provide safety and security to the petitioners from respondent no. 3 to 5;

It is further prayed that issue the directions to the respondent no. 2 that he may not harass the petitioners at the instance of respondent no. 3 to 5; Any other relief which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper may also be passed in the facts and circumstance of the case to meet the ends of justice."

It is stated that the marriage between the Petitioners herein has been solemnized according to Hindu Rites and Customs at Arya Samaj Marriage Mandal Devli, vide Certificate No.M-550/2024 and they are residing together as husband and wife. The marriage certificate indicates the date of birth of the Petitioner No.1 as 04.06.1995 and Petitioner No.2 as 29.03.1996. Both the Petitioner are major and are old enough to take a decision regarding their marriage.

It is stated that the Respondent No.3 to 5 are creating trouble and they are harassing and threatening the Petitioners. 4.

Learned ASC appearing for the Respondent No.2/Delhi Police states that the Petitioners have already approached the Police Station Fatehpur Beri and telephone numbers of the SHO and the Beat Officer has already been provided to the Petitioners. It is stated that all necessary steps will be taken by the Police to ensure safety and security of the life and property of the Petitioners.

Mr. Arvind Kumar Shukla, learned Counsel appearing for Respondent Nos.3 to 5, states that the Respondent Nos.3 to 5 are only interested to ensure a proper marriage of the Petitioners.

The couple is already happily married and are living peacefully and, therefore, this Court is not inclined to make any observations on the wishes of the parents and relatives.
