O R D E R

% 13.02.2018 Petitioner No. 1 and petitioner No. 2 had got married according to personal law on 04.02.2018. This marriage was against the wishes of the parents of petitioner No. 1. They are now apprehending threats from the family of petitioner No. 1. Accordingly, this petition has been filed seeking police protection.

On advance notice learned counsel for the State has put in appearance. His submission is that till date, no complaint has been received from the complainant. Even as per the case of the petitioners, no actual threat has been meted out to them and they apprehend that they may receive threats from the family of petitioner No.1. Their local address where they are presently residing is at Alipur. Accordingly, learned counsel for the State assures this Court

that the local police of Alipur shall be apprised of the situation and a beat constable will be sensitised. The local SHO shall also be informed. The mobile numbers of the beat constable and local SHO will be given to the petitioners and in case of any urgency or emergency, the petitioners may contact the local SHO who needless to state will afford adequate police protection to the petitioners. Petition disposed of.
