% 22.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 997/2014 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC registered at police station Pandav Nagar at the instance of complainant, may be quashed.

Respondent no.2(Complainant) is present in Court and has been identified by SI Chhote Lal of police station Punjabi Bagh. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts and having received entire settled amount from the petitioner. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce passed by the Family Court,

Karkardooma on 6th June, 2016.

Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment entire settled amount stands paid.

She has no objection in case FIR, is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have decided to part their ways and have, in fact, obtained a decree of divorce and the fact that respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 997/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Pandav Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
