The Petitioner, a convict undergoing life imprisonment in proceedings arising from FIR No. 136/2006 registered under Sections 302/307/449/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at P.S. Welcome has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950 seeking grant of parole for a period of 60 days.

Counsel for the Petitioner states that from 29th July, 2025, new conviction year has commenced and the Petitioner is entitled to be released on furlough as well as parole.
