Considering the nature of the reliefs sought in the present petition, the Court is of the opinion that no counter affidavit is necessary, and accordingly, has proceeded to hear the counsel for the parties. 3.

The present writ petition seeks the following prayers: "(i) a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the respondent no. 2 to register the documents presented on 14.09.2017 for registration vide slip no. 5599 and 5600, in the interest of justice."

The Petitioner submits that they had presented a Sale Deed dated 14th September, 2017 for registration with Respondent No. 2- the Sub-Registrar The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. VI-D, Kanjhawala, New Delhi, vide receipt No. 5599. Further, they had also presented another document, namely a Special Power of Attorney, for registration on the same date, vide receipt No. 5600. However, the said documents have still not been registered. It is argued that there is total inaction on the part of the Respondent No. 2 and no intimation has been given to the Petitioner regarding the fate of the document presented for registration.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No. 2 to either issue a deficiency note under Section 71 of the Registration Act, 1908 or to proceed with the registration of the documents presented for registration on 14th September, 2017 under Slip Nos. 5599 and 5600, as the case may be.

It is clarified that the Court has not expressed any merits of the case and all rights and contentions of the parties are left open. 7.

With the above directions, the present writ petition, along with pending applications, is disposed of.
