W.P.(CRL) 2158/2024 & CRL.M.A. 20994/2024 1.

The Petitioners who are senior citizens have approached this Court stating that they are being harassed by Respondent No.3 and certain other persons. Since the prayer in the petition is only for a direction to provide adequate police protection and it is the duty of the Police to provide protection to every person this Court does not see any impediment in granting the prayer.

Learned ASC for the State, who is present in Court is directed to ensure that the telephone numbers of the Beat Constable and one lady The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Constable is provided to the Petitioners so that they can be contacted in case of any emergency.

Learned ASC for the State who is present in Court states that needful has already been done and the phone numbers of the Beat Constables are already with the Petitioners.

For any other relief, it is open for the Petitioners to approach the competent authorities/courts as directed by the Apex Court in Sakiri Vasu v. State of UP, (2008) 2 SCC 409.
