The present petition was filed seeking following prayers: "i.

Allow the present petition and subsequently pass an appropriate direction/order to Respondents no.2 to remove all records regarding arrest of the Petitioner in respect to the Kalandara vide DD No.09A dated 26.05.2020, PS- Karawal Nagar from the police records as well as from the official website of Respondent no.3 i.e. State Crime Records Bureau, Delhi.

ii.

Pass an appropriate direction/order to respondents no.4 and 5 i.e. DCP Licensing and Joint CP, Licensing to approve the renewal of Arms license in favour of the Petitioner.

iii.

Pass an order/direction in favour of the Petitioner as deemed fit and proper in the interest of the Justice."

As far as the prayer (i) is concerned, as per the letter dated 20th December, 2024, submitted by Respondent No. 2 - SHO, PS Karawal Nagar, no criminal case is registered in PS Karawal Nagar against the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Petitioner and his name is not found on the State Criminal Records Bureau maintained by Respondent No. 3.

As regards prayer (ii), counsel for Petitioner acknowledges that the Arms licence has already been renewed in favour of Petitioner. Accordingly, the reliefs sought in the present writ petition stand redressed and no further directions are required.

Counsel for Petitioner states that he has also applied with the Joint Commissioner of Police, Licensing for extension of area in relation to the said Arms licence. The said request shall be considered on its own merits, in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, along with pending application.
