Present writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner Sanjiv Kumar under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking parole for a period of eight weeks to arrange suitable match for his daughter.

I have heard the pairokar of the petitioner and have examined the file. File reveals that vide order dated 21.12.2017, the petitioner was granted parole for a period of ten days.

Earlier also, the petitioner was granted parole on various occasions on different grounds.

The petitioner has filed an application seeking parole before the competent authority.

Grievance of the petitioner is that his application seeking parole has not been disposed of. 4.

Learned ASC, on instructions, informs that the application of the petitioner shall be disposed of within two weeks. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the directions to the respondent / State to decide the petitioner's application seeking parole on merits within two weeks.
