A perusal of the order dated 17.01.2022 shows that in the instant appeal, the appellant did not raise any objection with regard to the divorce granted by the Family Court.

Since the parties have not been able to arrive at a settlement and the appellant wishes to press for a permanent alimony, recourse should be taken to the appropriate provision under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. 3.

The appeal is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 4.

Consequently, the pending applications shall stand closed.
