1. The present petition has been filed seeking quashing in case FIR No. 904/2022 registered at PS Wazirabad under Sections 323/341/506 IPC.

2. Perusal of the FIR indicates that the complainant has stated to have an affair with the sister of the petitioner and they had performed the Court marriage against the wishes of their families. The complainant has alleged that over this issue, the petitioner attacked the complainant with a danda.

settlement vide settlement deed dated 20.07.2024. The respondent No.2 is present in person and states that he has entered into the settlement voluntarily without any fear, force, or coercion. The complainant states that he is residing happily with his wife Asha. IO has duly identified both the parties.

4. Since the dispute is predominantly private in nature and the parties have settled all the disputes amicably, in the interest of justice it would be better to put a quietus to the dispute. The chances of conviction would also be bleak and remote, given that the parties do not wish to pursue the present complaint on account of the settlement. I do not see any reason to reject the settlement.

5. Taking into account the totality of facts and circumstances, the FIR No. 904/2022 registered at PS Wazirabad under Sections 323/341/506 of IPC and all the other proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

6. The present petition along with all the pending applications stand disposed of.
