The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying respondent nos. 1 and 2 be directed to take appropriate action against respondent nos. 3 to 8 and to protect the lives of the petitioners. 4.
The petitioners claim that they have married each other against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1 (respondent nos. 3 to 8). They fear for their own safety at the hands of respondent nos. 3 to 8. They claim that on 18.10.2019, they had threatened to kill the petitioners. 5.
Mr Kundu, learned ASC appearing for the State states that the
petitioners are not residing at the address as provided. 6.
In view of the averments made in the present petition, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to approach respondent no. 2. Respondent no. 2 is directed to evaluate the threat perception and also ascertain whether the petitioners are residing within the jurisdiction of Police Station Mayur Vihar. He shall provide the petitioners such protection, as he considers necessary. He will also provide the contact numbers of the beat staff in order that the petitioners can contact them in any eventuality. 7.
In so far as taking action against respondent nos. 3 to 8 is concerned, the petitioners have alternate remedies. This Court finds no ground to pass any orders in this regard in this petition.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 9.
