The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:

"(a) issue a writ, order and/or direction in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directing the Respondents to expedite the disposal of Appeal bearing No. NFAC/201718/10023791 dated 24.05.2021 for A.Y. 2018-19 (Annexure P - 3) on merits within a time bound manner"

The petitioner had filed an appeal against an assessment order dated 25.04.2021 in respect of Assessment Year 2018-19, on 24.05.2021. submissions, which were called for by the appellate authority (NFAC). However, the appeal has not been disposed of as yet. 4.

We note that more than four years have elapsed since the petitioner's appeal was filed. In view of the above, we request the appellate authority to dispose of the petitioner's appeal as expeditiously as possible and in its own turn.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Pending application also stands disposed of.
