The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:
"(a) issue a writ, order and/or direction in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order for directing the Respondent No.1 to expedite the disposal of the pending appeal bearing number: CIT (A) Noida- 1/10566/2019-20 dated 28.12.2019 for A.Y. 201718 (Annexure P - 4) on merits in an expeditious and within a time bound manner."

The petitioner had filed an appeal against an assessment order dated 03.12.2019 in respect of Assessment Year 2017-18, on 28.12.2019. contended on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has furnished its submissions, which were called for by the appellate authority (NFAC). However, the appeal has not been disposed of as yet. 4.
We note that more than five and a half years have elapsed since the petitioner's appeal was filed. In view of the above, we request the appellate authority to dispose of the petitioner's appeal as expeditiously as possible and in its own turn.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Pending application also stands disposed of.
