This is a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months for making and publishing the Arbitral Award.

It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the delay occurred as the respondents have not cross-examined the witness of the petitioner.

On 20.08.2024, Mr. Dhananjay Sehrawat, learned counsel appeared on behalf of the respondent, sought and was granted time to file a response.

No response has been filed and there is nobody appearing on behalf of the respondent today.

for the delay.

Hence, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 6 months from today to make and publish the Arbitral Award. 7.

The period from 16.12.2023 till today stands regularised. 8.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 9.
