Present Public Interest Litigation has been filed seeking directions to impose a mandatory requirement for use of digital signatures instead of scanned signatures for authentication of lab reports, medical certificates, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. reports or documents of similar character in medical diagnostic laboratories, hospitals and all categories of clinical establishments as defined in the Clinical Establishments Act, 2010.

A perusal of the record reveals that the petitioner has approached this Court directly without making any prior representation to the concerned authority i.e. Department of Health, GNCTD.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to file a representation with the Health Department, GNCTD. In case such a representation is filed within two weeks, the same is directed to be disposed of by way of a speaking order within eight weeks thereafter. The rights and contentions of all the parties are left open.
