This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A(4) and (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of learned Arbitrator. 2.

Disputes between the parties arose out of Contract Agreement dated 28.01.2015 and arbitration proceedings were initiated by the Petitioner. Arbitrator was appointed by this Court vide order dated 23.12.2019. Mandate of the Arbitrator was successively extended thereafter from time to time and lastly by order dated 27.01.2025 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 78/2025, which has expired on 30.05.2025. Arbitral proceedings are stated to be at the advance stage of final arguments. 3.

Notice was issued to the Respondent on 04.07.2025, returnable on 04.08.2025, on which date there was no appearance on behalf of the Respondent despite service. date, it will be set ex parte. This is the second call of the matter. None appeared on the first call and none appears o the second call. Respondent is accordingly set ex parte.

This petition is allowed extending the mandate of the Arbitrator by a period of six months from 11.08.2025 and period between 31.05.2025 to 10.08.2025 is regularised.

Petition stands disposed of.
