The petitioner, whose husband was an employee of the respondents- Airports Authority of India ["AAI"], has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to grant her family pension under the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972, instead of Provident Fund benefits. 2.

It is stated in the petition that the petitioner has made several representations with the respondents, but has not received a final answer. 3.

Mr. Archit Mishra, learned counsel for the respondents, appears on advance notice.

At this stage, I am of the view that it would be appropriate for the respondents to take a final decision, and communicate the same to the petitioner. They are directed to do so within a period of six weeks from today.
