Present public interest petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to the respondents to issue guidelines /instructions /circular to all Advocates/Senior Advocates to pay a minimum stipend to Junior Advocates employed by Advocates/Senior Advocates/Firms. In the alternative, the petitioner seeks issuance of directions to the respondents to act upon the petitioner's representation dated 27th January, 2024. 2.

Learned counsel for Bar Council of India ('BCI') states that the aforesaid representation was taken up for consideration in its last meeting, but the said issue was deferred. He states that another meeting of BCI is scheduled to be held within four weeks.

Accordingly, this Court directs the BCI to decide the petitioner's representation dated 27th January, 2024 as expeditiously as possible preferably within six weeks in accordance with law. The Bar Council of Delhi shall give its input to the BCI within two weeks. 4.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition along with the application is disposed of.
