BAIL APPLN. 225/2017 The petitioner has preferred the present anticipatory bail application apprehending arrest in case FIR 444/2016 u/s 341/308/506/34 IPC registered at PS Ranhola. The submission of counsel for the petitioner is that the victim is himself a bad character of the area and there are several cases pending against him.
A perusal of the FIR shows that the complainant has alleged that he was attacked by the petitioner along with 4-5 of his accomplice.
Mr. Katyal submits that the injury suffered by the victim are reported to be grievous. Proceedings under Section 82 Cr PC have also been initiated Reliance has been placed by counsel for the petitioner to orders granting bail to the other accused. However, it is noticed that the said orders are in respect of regular bail. Moreover, the petitioner is stated to be the leader of the team/ gang which had attacked the victim. In these circumstances, I am not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. Dismissed.
