CRL.M.A. 37394/2024 (seeking ext. of parole by petitioner) 1.

By way of present application, the applicant/petitioner seeks extension of parole which was granted to him vide order dated 22.11.2024 on the ground of filing of SLP.

Learned counsel for the petitioner/applicant submits that the petitioner/applicant could not take effective steps for the purpose of filing of the SLP during the period of his parole. He further states that the petitioner/applicant also seeks an extension of parole on the additional ground of ill-heath of his father. It is stated that the instant application is also accompanied by the medical documents of applicant's father. 3.

Notice is accepted by learned ASC (Crl.) for the State, who submits that the petitioner/applicant has another brother who can look after their ailing father.

Considering the fact that the petitioner/applicant was released on parole to enable him to file an SLP against the judgment of conviction dated 26.06.2023, the parole granted to the applicant/petitioner vide order dated 22.11.2024 is extended for another period of two weeks on the same terms and condition as contained in this Court's order dated 22.11.2024. 5.

The application is disposed of in above terms. 6.

A copy of this order be communicated to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information and necessary compliance. 7.

The applicant/petitioner is directed to surrender after expiry of the parole period.
