% 15.02.2018 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Sarita is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Brij Mohan of Police Station Badarpur. Respondent no. 2 (wife) says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner (husband) of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and is living with him for the last one year. She further says that presently, she has no grievance against the petitioner and has no objection in case FIR No. 94/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Badarpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner and his relatives.

Keeping in mind the facts as narrated above, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the husband and wife entangled in the criminal proceedings.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice FIR No. 94/2016 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Badarpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
