The present writ petition is filed seeking grant of higher compensation to the victim in terms of the Delhi Victims Compensation Scheme, 2018.

It is not disputed by either the DLSA or the State that the petitioner would be entitled for compensation in terms of the aforementioned compensation scheme.

The learned counsel for the DLSA further states that the scheme is gender neutral. He requests that the matter be remanded back to the learned Trial Court for granting appropriate compensation.

the petitioner afresh and grant appropriate compensation to him in terms of the Delhi Victims Compensation Scheme, 2018 read with Rule 9 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Rules, 2020.
