The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of the FIR bearing No. 0070/2019, registered at Police Station Kapashera, South West Delhi, under Sections 498A/406/354/341PC. 4.

Issue notice. Learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 5.

A request for quashing of the FIR has been made on account of the Settlement Deed inter se the parties dated 29.04.2024 before the Mediation Centre, Dwarka and also that the parties are residing together since 11.05.2024.

The petitioner No. 1 has suffered an accident and is not in a position to join the proceedings. The rest of the parties are present before this Court in person today, and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer concerned.

Today, the complainant who is present in Court states that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed.

In view of the above facts that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will and without any coercion and also the fact that the present matter is a family matter, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. Hence, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. Moreover, there is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 0070/2019, registered at Police Station Kapashera, South West Delhi, under Sections 498A/406/354/341PC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 10.

The petition stands disposed of.
