The Petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayer: "(a) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to issue passport in the name of son of the petitioner namely - Devender Singh and conduct proper inquiry against the erring officials concerned, in the interest of justice"

The Petitioner is a resident of Amritsar and the regional passport office where the correction has to take place is also situated at Amritsar. 3.

In view of the above, this Court does not have the territorial jurisdiction to entertain the present writ petition. 4.
