The present petition is based on the statutory mandate provided under Section 54, which contemplates refund in certain cases. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that though on 14th June, 2019, the refund was sanctioned, the admissible interest as provided under Section 56 is not released.

Rightly so, it could be the noticed from the prayer clause that there is no prayer as regards the payment of interest. However, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition as the prayer in the petition stood attended and redressed. 5.

As regards the interest, if any, receivable by the petitioner pursuant to the statutory mandate under Section 56, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner and to pass an appropriate order and communicate the same within a period of four weeks from today. 6.

The petition, along with pending applications, if any, stands disposed of.
