This petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No.127/2023 under Sections 354/498-A/406/34 IPC at PS Govind Puri, on the basis of settlement arrived at between the parties on 18th January 2024, with the facilitation of Mediation Cell, Saket Courts; which is on record of this Court. 2.

Petitioner nos.1 to 4 and respondent no.2 complainant are present in the Court and duly identified by the IO.

As per the settlement, petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, who were married on 19th November 2018, due to irreconcilable differences, have decided to divorce each other. No child was born out of this wedlock. 4.

Further, in terms of settlement of total amount of Rs.7 lakhs, balance amount Rs.2.5 lakhs is tendered to respondent no.2 in the Court today, by way of a Demand Draft No.508443 dated 20th May 2024, drawn on HSBC Bank, which she acknowledges and states that she has no objection to The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. quashing of the FIR.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No.127/2023 under Sections 354/498-A/406/34 IPC at PS Govind Puri and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 7.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are disposed of as infructuous.
