% 29.09.2016 There are 11 petitioners before this Court. The prayers made in the petition have been perused. All these prayers have been answered as the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 has been promulgated. The scheme under the said Act has come into force. The Town Vending Committees (TVC) are in the process of being constituted. This Court has been informed that two TVCs are already functional i.e. New Delhi Municipal Council and the Cantonment Board. The other committees are in the process of becoming functional.

This writ petition had been disposed of on 13.10.2014. The Court while disposing of this writ petition has directed the State

Government to make the TVC's functional and the petitioners had been granted permission to make their representation before the committee within a period of 8 weeks.

CM No. 472/2015 This is an application filed by the petitioner seeking permission of this Court to get the period of 8 weeks extended in order that they can present their representation before the TVC. Counsel for the respondent submits that the TVC qua the respondent (South Delhi Municipal Corporation) is not yet functional. Accordingly petitioners are granted extension of 8 weeks to be counted from the date when the TVC (SDMC) becomes functional to make the representation before it.

Application disposed of in above terms.
