% 08.11.2019 CRL.M.A. 39966/2019 1.

Exemption is allowed, subject to all just exceptions. 2.

The application stands disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 3151/2019 3.

The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the respondents be directed to provide police protection to the petitioners from the family members of petitioner no.1.

4.

The petitioners claim that they were married on 04.11.2019, against the wishes of the family members of petitioner no.1. They state that respondent nos. 2 and 3, who are the parents of petitioner no.1, have opposed their marriage and have also issued threats to them. It is also stated that on 05.11.2019, the father of petitioner no.1 lodged a complaint against petitioned no.2 with PS Patel Nagar.

5.

Insofar as the petitioners' prayer for grant of protection is concerned, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to appear before the concerned SHO (SHO, PS Patel Nagar). The concerned SHO shall examine the threat perception and afford the petitioners such protection as deemed necessary.

6.

Insofar as the complaint made by respondent no.2 is concerned, the same is not before this Court. The petitioners are also not aware as to the nature of the said complaint, if any. This Court does not consider it apposite to pass any direction in this regard except to direct the concerned police authorities to ensure that they act in accordance with law. 7.

It is also clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion to the averments made by the petitioners in this petition. 8.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of.
