Appellant has filed an appeal for enhancement of the award dated 12.07.2022 passed by the learned MACT awarding compensation of Rs. 1,27,920/- along with interest @ 6% from the date of filing of the claim petition.

We have interacted with the learned counsel/parties concerned. Apropos such interaction and deliberation, the parties have agreed that the respondent-insurance company shall pay to the appellant a total lump sum compensation of Rs. 2,90,000/- as full and final settlement of all the claims involved in the present appeal. It is prayed that the appeal be disposed of in aforesaid terms.

As such, the respondent-insurance company is directed to deposit the settled amount of Rs. 2,90,000/- before the learned Registrar General of this Court within a period of six weeks from today failing which the respondent-insurance company shall be liable to pay interest @ 9% per annum for the delayed period. Learned Registrar General shall release the aforesaid amount to the appellant, subject to verification and completion of requisite formalities. 4.

In view of the aforesaid, settlement terms be acceptable to the parties, the present appeal along with application(s), if any, stand disposed of.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned learned Tribunal with TCR, if already received.
